Spring Cleaning...sort of

Being very good, not buying any craft stuff (since Saturday and until Wednesday), and sorting out my crafty stash, and getting rid of bits I bought on a whim and will never use. Quite impressed and a little ruthless, well sort of. Also good news, my dad who runs boot fairs and jumbles for his sheltered housing has aquired a sewing machine for me...woo hoo, so hopefully I'll be able tto use all this material friends have givene to make some storage bags, also found time inbetween to try invertiage!!!

One of my cakes

I was commisioned a while ago to make a cake for a friends sons tenth birthday, I asked her what she wanted, 'something blue in colour....maybe something to do with Call of Duty...like a gun!!! Over the next few days, we discussed more ideas, lego, Star Wars. So this is what I ended up making for her...I'm proud to say she was very impressed
I then decided I needed to make a card for him as well
All in all, a good day

Crafters block

Well, had one of those days, looked at pretty paper, and embellishments, half a dozen times, just couldn't get any ideas. So I thought I'd sort through some photos on the 'puter, eventually I found a free ebook I'd got ages ago, flicked through it and......
Yes, I know the glue isn't dry yet, and it needs a number or a Happy Birthday on it...but I'm happy now!

Home made Marbled Paper or Lets make a mess!

Went to a short card making class at my local childrens centre just before Easter, more about what you could make with children about. We made some marbled paper, didnt like the 'oil' method, but shaving foam, food colouring and a tray...and I loved the results.
Made some more today

Normal shaving foam (cheapest you can find) spray a layer onto a tray, smooth out, drip on some food colouring, swirl about with a fork/chopstick etc, lay on some cardstock, press gently, peel off, scrap off with the side of a ruler, leave to dry
Tip. Have a roll of kitchen to hand

Scrapping Bag

I've been scrapbooking for about 2 years now, and have always had trouble finding the right size bag for my books (I usually use 12 x 12), as usual I'd grown through and out of some jeans, so one evening got a little creative, using the belt from another pair, made myself a bag.......

Coming soon...Hougie Board Bag...Promarker Bag...the list is endless!!!
